Kai the cat has just been on my lap. Christmas is a pretty stressful time, so I tapped just-in-case for my cat allergy. I stroked her with one hand while I tapped with another. Kai gets enough energy (Borrowing Benefits from my self-treatment) when she nips my hand to get off me. I can't see any red marks. As a matter of fact, I can't remember where exactly on my hand she nipped, and it was two minutes ago.She's feeling lonely. I tapped more for her feelings. As I heal her, healing goes through me. She got a bit upset when I started typing again, so I reminded her that this is how I earn her cat food. She's a bit calmer now. Does this seem crazy? Today I tapped for a number of issues and then tried to eat chocolate birthday cake. It was hard work towards the end. My biggest (excuse the pun) weight problem right now is that I put more on since taking steroids unnecessarily earlier this year. Yesterday, I watched a program on TV (National Geographic) about disasters. It was about escaping gas, just the problem that led to my big health problems at the beginning of 2005 and hence the steroids. I tapped silently as I watched the program. No Setup or Reminder, just tapping.After that, it's as if some of my unhappiness at the way I was stuck in an unsafe home with a serious gas leak, windows and doors open, temperature -2 Celcius and no heating for several weeks was stored in the fat I put on when subsequently given steroids. And now it is safe to release it. Property in London is a bit hit and miss when you are renting, or so I have found. I was stuck in a contract, couldn't immediately leave, had to fight it out with the landlord and the gas people were useless. They laughed…

In my new life, sincee mbarking on a journey of recovery some 12 years ago, this winter is the last winter that I will feel painful hardships. Everything is going slowly according to plan and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I was printing out the Serenity Prayer for my students tomorrow and found myself crying at the second part of a version I have. So I tapped: "Grant me patience with the changes"that take time, "Appreciation of all that I have, "Tolerance of those with different struggles "And the strength to get up and try again "One day at a time." I kept tapping on the KC, the finger points and tapping the KC and the BN simultaneously, releasing many tears, reminded of the hope, of where I am going to in life, that this is the last winter of such hardship, that there is only one more and then it's the end, the start of a real life.
